Stories of Paraná - An act of bravery

Stories of Paraná - An act of bravery

An act of bravery
João Carlos Calvo

Human life is a great and permanent powerhouse facts.
Without it, there would be no story or history.
This, incidentally, is composed of those duly ordered, witnessed and recorded.
And so that "walks" humanity: producing facts.
The stories tell of everything.
- From good to bad.
- The beautiful and the ugly.
- Of Decency and indecency.
- From fear and bravery.
Ah! The bravery! It, I will
talk about later.
There was, throughout Paraná, there gone by 1955-1961 a)> rand and widespread dissatisfaction because, especially in certain regions, progress wanted to get at any cost, without asking!
Was met however, with low or no quality of services from the public, as necessary as essential to support ilar to those times of developmentalist explosion.
The lack of electricity line primacy.
It was natural communities of concern, because they feared that the opportunities that came to pass, and there were new opportunities to recover them or
another chance.
This filled the anxiety.
Hence, many of the actions taken were moved by emotion or even the folly in some cases.
Once the people of Apucarana stimulated by verberações more extreme, was invited to meet in public on a given day.
In this "meeting" many speeches vibrant, running on the spot, and with the same conclusive proposal:
- Not good are the "patches" to the COPEI has been doing in its plant (diesel). Are only palliative and are cluttering the growth spurt that excites the life of every city in our region. There is no other solution.
Come on now, marching toward the plant.
We will destroy them. The government will have to do something. Only then will something new and better.
Hysterical screams of supported, endorsed, supported ... The mob, driven by the stimulus, began to walk toward the target. The policing was insufficient, given the number of protesters.
When they got there, surprise! Given the plant, wrapped the National Flag, as his only protection, there was exposing his own life, the engineer, young, head of service.
Parent of young children and they needed him as children need parents, he did not hesitate and decided, spontaneously, by this act of bravery, a huge lesson in courage and civility.
The mass, surprised before this act of courage, trembled.
Trembled and respected. Had no "forces" to throw the first stone. If he had, certainly exist, as a tribute, some plant somewhere, named Engineer Domingos Barbosa Silver.
And so, with golden letters, which has been written the story of Paraná.

João Carlos Calvo, engineer Avil
