Stories of Paraná - Believe it or not

Stories of Paraná - Believe it or not

Believe it
Gerson Luiz Borges de Macedo

Gone are the days when a horse race was restricted to a fun half-dozen spectators, and among them some special, the owners of the animals, usually the "Colonels" of the time. The place was almost always an impromptu streak in any corner of this our country, and not nearly wheelies would remember the thoroughbreds galloping professionally today by racecourses around the world.
The Paraná people can be proud of our state of the turf, considered among the top four in Brazil, alongside São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul, possess a center of creating the best and a beautiful racecourse totally
computerized, which conducts races every weekend, constituting a great leisure option for the people of Curitiba, besides, of course, the fact that no one can resist the temptation to make a "leap of faith" and cheer for your favorite.
The races in the Hippodrome Tarumã Curitiba Brazil won and once a month are transmitted via satellite to the whole country, where bookmakers are
the link between the dream of fortune and animal hooves, running without knowing which move a world of emotions, a lot of work, sadness and joy.
Despite all modernity and technology that invaded the turf, the unbelievable happens also the racetrack. The story we report happened in Hippodrome Uvaranas, city of Ponta Grossa, now sadly off, more or less 12 years ago.
I should clarify that there is no video or photographic record of the fact.
Guarantee, however, the truth of the story, and witnesses certainly appear to tens lines after their publication.
For more layman who is the player in the field of horse racing, all certainly know what is and what a horse is a jockey, and that in every race every animal has its unique and its driver.
Well, in Ponta Grossa happened exception.
In a given match, a horse started a race with a jockey and ended it with another.
It happened early in the final stretch there was a "round," which in slang means turfística an accident or fall involving two horses and their jockeys.
One of the jockeys sprawled on the floor, but the second jockey was falling exactly on the horse than his, and it continued to run. The frightened rider in an attempt to avoid greater evil to himself, clung on as best he could also frightened animals and the two continued to run without knowing they were starring in a scene worthy of "Session Pies" and an unprecedented event in the racing industry .
Scene to be perfect, just missed the two had won the race.
