Stories of Paraná - Passion in Big hole

Passion in Big hole
Jose Roberto da Silva

Hands on the fence of the stadium "Santanão", the old man looks toward a goal and cries.
When she arrived there in the Big hole, forty years ago, that land of 10,000 meters served as a natural pasture for cattle.
John Santana, from Paraná Campo Largo, almond eyes that earned him the nickname of guy "Japanese", planted tomatoes and vegetables. Does not grow or for survival.
He was passionate about football, so decided to combine business with pleasure and founded Caxias - name suggested by a friend of a soldier barracks area.
Four decades living this passion.
So today Santana cries.
Memories invade your soul.
A notebook is timeworn veneer and the tears roll with more intensity.
There he recorded with lyrics plump, all matches from the foundation of "his" red and black.
Ten titles suburban Curitiba.
Santana took office, surrounded the ground, planted grass, made his home with his two sons 'little mother' Dona Cecilia Camerato, and became one of the most famous characters of the most populous district of the capital
Paraná. All because of Caxias Futebol Clube, which was player, president, director, treasurer and coach tough guy.
Never had to go after that player or pay for the glorious envergassem shirt of your team.
Always liked those who, like him, loved the Caxias. "Juggernaut" was the most touched his heart.
So much so that more tears roll down his face furrowed with 63 years of life.
Parrudão, defender of "chilling", became the owner of the security team in games more hotheaded.
"Juggernaut" died again, the heart. And death is a shadow that Santana comes away wanting for a while now.
Because of kidney failure four years ago the forces to do three weekly hemodialysis in Evangelical Hospital, John Santana, at this time, only makes it to remember the good and bad times of your Caxias.
Once the Rancho Alegre took the team title in the last match.
Santana, unhappy with the deputy, had an attack of hatred within the bus carrying the delegation back to his house the clubhouse. Not only threw out the window the trophy because of his knees, Dionha a player friend, begged
keep the glass as a souvenir.
Four years ago the "Santanão" only hosts matches between teams that rent for the weekend.
Nothing Caxias. The team with the disease of its founder and owner, had to ask permission in the Federation.
So John Santana cries to aim staring off that football field.
Cries the cry of someone who lived Caxias and will only smile again when you see your red and black on the other side of the fence.
