The Baron of Campos Gerais

On a visit to Paraná, Dom Pedro II, Emperor of Brazil, and his entourage arrived by ship to Paranaguá where they inaugurated the lighthouse and the Ilha do Mel, in procession climbed the hills of Graciosa, when His Majesty came to rest under the old pine was not "Araucaria angustifolia" which no longer exists.

Note: The Baron of Campos Gerais, drover by trade, almost illiterate, and was deputy provincial
Vice President of Paraná. He owned three large farms in the region of Ponta Grossa.
