The valley Ivaí had its heyday with the "rush" of coffee between 1956 and 1966. People from all parts of the country came eager for work and for quick riches.
Small settlements became thriving cities like Faxinai, Borrazópolis, Jardim Alegre and Ivaiporã, among others.
Residents of rural areas in these localities were visited periodically by a peddler known Turquinho, who brought the news of São Paulo for the stay-at-home and marriageable girls.
Went out of suitcases crammed blouses, petticoats, panties, sutians, perfumes, soaps, threads, pins, needles, balls of income, colorful buttons and various trinkets.
After fulfilling his script, the bags were lighter, it was time to promote settlement in the area of low meretricious closer.
The colonels and haggled not met the requests of Quengas with great generosity.
Over the years, Turquinho acquired habits and language typical of residents going to use expressions like "Oxente Brimo", "Sartei Tchê Band", "ripped Pena Brimo", became a supporter of Corinthians and appreciative of a cachaça , becoming the most Brazilian of Turks who appeared in the region.
On rainy days, with roads impassable, Turquinho passed the time at some quaint pub telling stories, especially a pick of land known as John Roll, one of Bahia cocky heartthrob and the conqueror who came to harass Adelaide, wife of merchant Tiao Gaucho .
It was enough gauchaço out with his jeep 51 to shop at Apucarana, when he was absent for a day or two, that instantly John Roll was approaching Adelaide with his compliments.
How good marketer, Adelaide took in stride, but was getting tired of the harassment and decided to let her husband know the situation.
Together, they plotted a punishment for the horny pick.
Seeing Tiao leaving for another trip, the dapper heartthrob rushed to the sale and began to extol the charms of Adelaide.
This time was surprised and beaming with happiness when required agreed to welcome him home after the closing of the establishment to 21 hours.
At the appointed time, the door was ajar, the candlelight gave a touch of sensuality and a sense of sin.
Adelaide, with a bottle of wine and two glasses, John smiled and started talking.
After less than five minutes, you hear the jeep Tiao entering the garage.
Total despair; heartthrob did not know what to do, could not go ahead, the back there was no escape.
Then meets the suggestion of Adelaide, jumps out the window and runs to the private backyard, whose floor had been removed, and plunges into the pit.
The plot had worked.
With all the lights on, the police are called, John Roll screaming for help, onlookers gathered, the family of John arrived ashamed and helped the police to remove him from embarrassment.
Turquinho ensures that the pick was bag and baggage to Mato Grosso, leading the unbearable smell of bitter adventure.
